A “surprisingly versatile vocalist” says Denver Post, Megan Buness soloed in the world premiere of Requiem by Leavitt, under his direction, at Carnegie Hall and sang as a Court Lady in the world premiere of Poet Li Bai by Guo Wenjing, conducted by Ed Spanjaard with Central City Opera. Ms. Buness earned a Vocal Education Bachelor Degree at St. Olaf College and Vocal Performance Master Degree at University of Denver. Currently, Ms. Buness performs with The Playground Ensemble, the regional premier chamber group dedicated to modern compositions, recently named one of Colorado’s Top Five Chamber Ensembles in the Denver Post. The Playground was featured on CPR, at the National Performing Arts Convention, and in the Mile High Voltage Festival, a New Music Festival hosted by The Newman Center with Canteloupe records.
